Hello and welcome to the Deviantart of Limegreenjelly Cosplay.
I am currently in residence around the area of Bristol, UK

Since 2009 my main hobby and interest has been Cosplay. I love breathing life into the characters that I admire. It's a break away from reality. I love costuming, even though sometimes I rather be a nana and sloth on the sofa with a cup of tea in hand, wrapped in a blanket. I do have other interests including the latest candies to hit the confectionery shelves. Candy Crash Test has been my blog for over 2 years now.

I try and keep it updated as much as possible for everyone to enjoy!

To keep me active and fit, I enjoy learning tricks with hula hoops and occassionally get the poi poi out to enjoy the pretty colours flash by me.
That's me in a nut shell, please feel free to look around my page and please visit my new Facebook page of Limegreenjelly cosplay. Progress pictures, news and everything can be found there.

DeviantArt Re-vamping

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 12, 2015, 1:03 PM
Hello one and all,

I am currently re-vamping my Deviantart so it holds more top quality photographs and artwork. Hopefully, some can be purchased as prints from the Deviantart store.
I have had a massive clear out and will begin to build the page again, so please bear with me. I'm still active and still doing what I love.

Just finished my first convention of the season, which was "The True Believers Comic Festival," The convention was the first one to be held at Cheltenham racecourse and was a great success. They have already announced a second one for next year. A great atmosphere and the hospitality was fantastic! couldn't fault the organisation of the whole event. (Rumours say the 6th Feburary 2016)

My next convention will be in a few days times. Midlands Comic Con is always on my convention circuit list as it's a one day event, not too far to travel to and the first convention to see everyone in one place. I will be cosplaying Sailor Mars during the day. The costume has been with me since I've started cosplaying and I've never really worn her properly. Now in her 3rd reincarnation would be a shame to keep her sealed in a box.

Updates to follow shortly.

Thank-you so much for the advice, I am cosplaying as someone from Disney which might not be recognised if someone only watches cartoons but i'll try my best and hope your next convention goes well.

Majority of brightly coloured wigs are usually characters from Japanese animation and manga. Some are from games and some from comic books. You'll find it, resourcing pieces can be the hardest part. A costume helps with confidences because you do feel like you are the character, so you act like the character instead of yourself. Its a big bonus when people notice who you are and asks for a photo.

I hardly know the characters some of these people portray these days, they all have pink, blue and green hair and not like the princesses I know.
I suppose it's worth a shot going although i still have to find Avery's outfit which has been difficult and wearing a costume hides the social anxiety of being yourself.

You can always go to Manchester to soak up the atmosphere, you don't necessarily have to wear a costume. There's plenty of stalls, panels, and shows going on throughout the day. It will give you a good idea how other Comic cons will be and also you can maybe snap your favourite characters if you see them :)
